Late Dr. Mozibur Rahman Biswas (1939 - 2020), also known as Dr. M. R. Biswas, was a professor at Bangladesh Agricultural University for about 40 years. His former students and colleagues recognize his pioneering role in establishing academic discipline in irrigation and water management as well as in institutionalizing civil service profession in this field. Dr. Biswas also led a number of projects in Bangladesh's agriculture sector funded by major international development organizations.

Former students and colleagues of late Professor Dr. Mozibur Rahman Biswas organized a virtual remembrance meeting about his work and legacy on July 14, 2020, eight days after his passing.
